There’s something powerful that happens when people gather with a shared purpose.
At Yarn and Yield, the land is at the heart of everything we’re growing — and it needs many hands, many hearts, and a willingness to show up.
These afternoons on the land are a time to slow down, step outside, contribute to something real and build a community.
We’re inviting you to join us on one of our Community Days. Every Wednesday and Sunday from 3- 5 p.m.
Opportunties
If you join us on the land, you co-create a community and care for the land by:
- Tending gardens
- Planting, weeding, or mulching
- Supporting small land projects, water systems, and building structures
- Clearing waterways and fixing machinery
- Helping shape spaces for future growth
- Video and photography
If you can’t join us on the land, you might be able to help us from afar with:
- Social media and marketing, sharing our posts and resources
- Writing and storytelling
- Website/app and community platform development
- Fundraising and event management
- Grant writing and community development

What to Bring if Joining on the Land
If you are joining us on the land, come with:
- Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
- Water bottle & bug protection
- Hat and sun protection
- A willingness to contribute to the land and the community

The Expression of Interest (EOI) helps us keep things grounded, safe, and aligned for everyone involved.
This isn’t about signing up to something formal. But an agreement around shared and personal responsibility will need to be signed before entering the property.
It’s about starting a relationship — with the land, with the work, and with a community of people who care.
